There is Beauty in Diversity


𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀. 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗲.𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻.

We are not defined by our race, sexual orientation, profession, socioeconomic status, political views, or gender - 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘂𝘀.

𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. ⠀

I love that my husband tells my daughter, “It’s okay to be different.”

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, we owe it to our children to teach them acceptance and inclusion. Right now, what we are experiencing is not something our children should ever have to experience when they are our age.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱; 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱. 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁.

I surround myself around genuine people no matter their skin shade, gender, economic status, or who they choose to love.

𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.⠀

It takes no time to prejudge someone - that’s the easy way out. Let’s have patience and take the time to get to know one another.
